Halle-based Company Awarded Innovation Prize of Leipzig
Nutzwerk filter keeps away viruses and trash from the internet.
The Nutzwerk company with its headquarters in Halle has won one of the two main prizes of the innovation prize of the city of Leipzig. 143 companies had applied. Nutzwerk opened its Leipzig branch only seven months ago.
The special prize for the best value added model New Economy/Old Economy" (prize money about 10,000 euros, donated by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants) was awarded to Nutzwerk for its patented real-time data filter. It makes the internet secure by filtering out unwanted contents like viruses, ads or child pornography from the data stream before theses pages reach the home PC or the company network.
Based on this technology there are several products about to be put on the market, among them SaferSurf School. This security solution for schools releases the desired textbooks on the internet and allows to lock certain contents like right-wing extremism. The Free State of Saxony has outlined an agreement on the introduction of this solution at schools.
Over the last three years Nutzwerk has applied for six patents, the base patent also for the USA and Europe. Recently an online shop has been opened.
